Club Management


John Reyhons - Chief Operating Officer

John has over 20 years in the national and international club management business, in both corporate and member-owned clubs. Recognized as one of the top twenty-five club managers in America, John has been the General Manager of clubs such as Oak Tree National in Edmond, Oklahoma, The Roaring Fork Club in Basalt, Colorado, Mayacama in the Napa Valley and Troon Golf and Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was also the head of UK Operations for American Golf Corporation where he acquired five golf properties and transitioned them from the previous ownership to the American Golf portfolio and from distressed properties to profitability. Prior to moving into private club management John worked at Amfac hotels in Los Angeles and Hawaii and designed, owned and operated several successful restaurants in Denver.

John has also excelled academically, holding a BS degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada where he worked at Caesarís Palace. He has continued his education throughout his career, earning the designations of Certified Club Manager (CCM), Certified Chief Executive (CCE) and Certified ServSafe Manager. Currently, John is working on his designation as a Master Club Manager (MCM). There are currently only 17 managers who have achieved this designation. John is an active participant in the Club Managerís Association of America (CMAA). He has held numerous positions in the organization including Chapter President (Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico), National Committee Chair and Club Foundation Strategic Planning Committee. He is also a member of the Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs.


Sean McCue - Golf Course Superintendent

Golf Course Superintendent, Sean McCue is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been in Colorado for the last 14 years. He has a degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Turfgrass Management, and has fine tuned his skills at some of the nationís finest private clubs such as Riviera.



Brian Nishi - Director of Membership and Communications

Prior to becoming the Director of Membership and Communications, Brian worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Castle Pines dating back to 2005.  Brian is a PGA Member, and has taught over 1,000 private lessons at the Club.  Prior to joining the Castle Pines team, Brian worked as a recruiter in New York City on the American Express Account.  He is also a proud graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado with a degree in Marketing.  With his strong golf background, Brian is always happy to "tee it up" with current and prospective members!!



Lance Scheele - Clubhouse Manager

Lance Scheele joined The Club in August as a Food and Beverage Manager with emphasis on the evening management shift. Itís with excitement that we have decided to promote Lance to Clubhouse Manager. Lanceís responsibilities will encompass all Clubhouse and F&B operations including the front of the house management and the kitchen.



Brian Dennis - Executive Chef

Brian was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and made the move to Colorado in 2001 after accepting a position as the Executive Chef at Simms Street Seafood and Steakhouse in Littleton.  Brian graduated from the Art Institute of Atlantaís culinary arts program in 1999. 

 Brian has worked at some of the top clubs in Colorado as a chef, including Pinehurst Country Club, Red Rocks Country Club, and Cherry Hills Country Club. While at Cherry Hills, Brian was introduced to culinary competitions. He participated in three competitions and have received one gold medal and two silver medals. Brian plans on continuing to compete as it assists him in keeping current with culinary trends. Competing is a great way to hone skills and work in an organized manor. These are skills Brian uses to teach other young culinarians and develop them into great chefs.



George Kahrhoff - Head Golf Professional

George joined the Castle Pines Country Club on April 10, 2008.  He was the General Manager and Director of Golf at the Sonnenalp Golf Club in Edwards, Colorado where he worked from 2003 to 2008.  George has been widely recognized by the PGA on both the golf and operations side of the business being awarded the Colorado West Chapter Merchandiser of the Year in 2005 & 2006, Colorado West Chapter Golf Professional of the Year in 2007.  Also in 2006 was awarded the Colorado Section of the PGA Merchandiser and was nominated for the 2007 National Merchandiser of the Year. George has served on the Colorado West Chapter Board of Directors from 2005-2007 positions held on the Board included President (2 Terms), Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, He also served on the Colorado Section of Board of Directors in 2007. 

George spent 5 years as an Assistant Golf Professional at Cherry Hills Country Club form 1998 to 2003. In October 1999 he and his wife Aimee were married, they have two boys Mitchell and Trey.  George has qualified and played in nine Colorado Open Championships and the National Oldsmobile Scramble Championship in Orlando Florida.  His interests include skiing, hiking, exercise fitness, small & big game hunting and Nebraska Cornhusker football.
